"A String Of Pearls - Dansk bigband jazz i 100 år" is an anniversary concert with Bigbandet Unoderne and jazz host Henrik Schultz-Petersen. The audience is taken on a musical journey through 100 years of Danish jazz, where 10 selected jazz tunes highlight the development of large jazz orchestras in Denmark — one big band number from each decade.
Between the pieces, Henrik Schultz-Petersen shares stories from each decade, making the concert both a live jazz experience and an introduction to the breadth of big band jazz and the origins and significance of its styles for Danish jazz. The event is part of the celebration of 100 years since jazz began in Denmark in 2026 together with Jazz Danmark. The concert takes place at Jazzværket, and admission is 65 kr.
