Ada Cakmakli, a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Istanbul, plays a concert with support from Lullablood at HeadQuarters. She studies music in Aarhus and writes songs in the space between folk, rock and singer-songwriter, with themes such as magic, love and the small oddities of everyday life. In the spring, she released her debut album "beastiarium", and her music is shaped by nature, relationships, emotional guitar arrangements and raw vocals.
On stage, Ada Cakmakli performs lead vocals and acoustic guitar alongside Simon Melin and Tobias Ennemark on electric guitar, Sigurd Kjærside on electric bass, Sebastian Madsen on drums, Isak Sandvej on piano/synth, Caroline Valter on alto saxophone and Dagmar Valter on violin. Support act Lullablood blends jazz with folk, punk and singer-songwriting in a sound that moves between arranged and fully improvised passages.
