Emma and Emil attempt to build a friendship from scratch in this new live show. Although they're both from North Jutland, you might think they'd naturally become friends – but their lifestyles couldn't be more different. While Emil spends his days with packed lunches and sofa TV evenings with his longtime partner Lisa Marie, Emma lives a completely different life in Copenhagen with her matcha drinks and pilates classes.
The show explores what it means to become friends as adults, and Emma and Emil approach it ambitiously: they will try to recapture all the fun, depth, and solidarity that a childhood friendship would have offered. From friendship books to personal stories about hardship – Emil will hear about Emma's struggle with an eating disorder, and Emma learns bluntly that Emil is "the type who has bad sex." An evening filled with humour, honesty, and audience participation, where the boundaries between stage and seating dissolve.
