Amateur Culture Day 2026

Aarhus fills up again with music, singing and dance when amateur associations take turns presenting the best from their repertoire. The Council for Amateur Culture in Aarhus Municipality arranges for the fifth time this festival day in collaboration with DOKK1, where orchestras, choirs and dancers showcase some of the facets that characterize local amateur cultural life.

Each association performs for approximately ½ hour around the library's open areas, meaning throughout the day there is plenty of opportunity to experience diversity in singing, instrumental music, dance and theatre. No registration or admission fee is required — simply show up and enjoy the entertainment taking place in several different locations within the library.
