BOGhandleren Aarhus Kristian F. Møller welcomes Anna Juul for a conversation about her new novel Sød tøs. She will be joined by cultural journalist and author Puk Qvortrup for a talk about the book, which uses dark humor to explore toxic group dynamics, the language of therapy, and the desire to break free from a role you no longer want.
In the novel, Anne is dumped by her boyfriend at a Christmas market with the message that she is too sweet. This sets off a course of events involving her group of friends, therapy, and questions of boundaries, power struggles, and the need to stop being “the sweet girl.” Anna Juul is a Danish author, and the author portrait is by Fryd Frydendahl.
