Sortekunst brings together six intense black metal bands from the Danish underground for an evening filled with extreme power and darkness. The event takes place on 21 November at Phono, where each band will perform a 30-minute set. The exact running order is kept secret – come from the start and experience the full spectacle.
Performing bands
- Arkæon: The Danish black metal band from Aarhus, formed in 2019, is part of the newer, more extreme-oriented Danish scene. Their debut album "Parasit" (2022) was praised for its brutal, dissonant and intense energy with aggressive, rhythmic shifts. Arkæon's sound balances between complex assault and dark melody, with vocals from both bass and drums creating a distinctive, almost ghostly quality.
- Gennem Tågen: Uncompromising Danish black metal with roots in the Nordic scene of the 90s. Icy riffs, dark atmosphere, acoustic guitar and Danish-language lyrics meet in the band's intense live performance.
- Sadokrista: Pure black metal in its original form – raw, fast and violent.
- Slyngel: Born in 2023 from Copenhagen's streets like an obsidian lightning bolt tearing through a black sky. This deadly quartet fuses the relentless energy of speed metal with punk's defiant attitude and the sinister echoes of first-wave black metal. On stage, Slyngel unleashes blazing intensity, unyielding aggression and a dark, visceral spectacle unlike anything else – chaotic, blasphemous and bloody rock'n'roll.
- Sult (debut gig): Raw, misanthropic black metal in the vein of Craft and Darkthrone, exploring and examining humanity's physical and mental longings.
- Ædel Fetich: Feeling more than words – shameful desire, black magic, a welcome glob of spit and dark headache. Black metal that questions what black metal actually is.
