turkis hosts an evening of deep bass, roots reggae and dub as Azizzi Romeo takes the stage with Morten McCoy and Steve Borth II from Guiding Star Orchestra for a live dub set on Roots Revival Sound System. Before and after the concert, Roots Revival Sound System delivers selections of roots, culture, dubwise and reggae.
Azizzi Romeo is from Linstead in Jamaica and is the son of Max Romeo. He started in music at an early age as part of the duo Rominal with his brother and later toured internationally before shaping his own sound. On the debut album Signs Of The Time, he collaborates with Guiding Star Orchestra in music where classic roots reggae meets contemporary electronic textures. The album also includes one of Max Romeo's last vocal recordings.
