A trio of award-winning Danish and French jazz musicians come together for an intimate concert full of virtuosity and musical joy. Bassist Lasse Mørck and guitarist Casper Christensen – both acclaimed for their award-winning work in Danish jazz – present a new collaboration with saxophonist Baptiste Herbin from France.
Baptiste Herbin, born 1987 in Chartres, is one of Europe's most respected saxophonists with training from the National Conservatory of Music in Paris. He has performed with artists such as Charles Aznavour, released numerous critically acclaimed albums, and received the prestigious Django Reinhardt Prize from L'Académie du Jazz in 2018.
Lasse Mørck stands out for his powerful sound and rhythmic drive; he received the Jazznyt Prize in 2017 and was named Composer of the Year in 2018. Casper Christensen has quickly established himself as one of Denmark's most sought-after jazz guitarists, known for his warm tone, melodic improvisations, and percussive playing style.
The trio moves in an acoustic, playful, and melodic universe inspired by French gypsy jazz, Brazilian choro, and contemporary jazz traditions. Audiences can expect a concert experience featuring danceable rhythms, spontaneous interaction, and pure musical delight.
