Aarhus Symphony Orchestra performs Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 in Symfonisk Sal with Dmitry Matvienko conducting. The work is known as a powerful musical symbol of joy, freedom, and fellowship, and in the finale the orchestra and human voices unite in the famous closing movement. Beethoven was a German composer and one of the most important figures in classical music; Symphony No. 9 is among his best-known works.
