Baseball5 is a new mixed-gender sport where men and women play together. It resembles rounders and primarily requires good running ability, catching skills, and quick thinking. If you're athletic, you can participate regardless of whether you have experience from handball, ketherball, volleyball, cricket, traditional baseball, softball, or rounders.
Aarhus Baseball Softball Club is now recruiting potential athletes for both U18 and senior national teams competing at the European Championships in 2027 and 2028 respectively. A unique opportunity to become a national team player in a sport you can learn from scratch – last year, 5 people reached the Championships after just 3 months of training and played at the level of established nations.
The national team has achieved impressive results: 7th place at the 2025 European Championships (out of 16 teams), victory over the Netherlands' 4th place finish from the 2023 European Championships, silver at an international tournament in Paris, and 4-time Danish champions – all with a significant proportion of converted players from other sports.
Training: Every Thursday in Viby Gymnasium's hall as part of Aarhus club activities. The coach is the national team coach, giving you a unique opportunity to develop quickly as a potential new Baseball5 national team player. All levels welcome, so there's room for complete beginners. Free trial training – come by and see if it's for you!
