Strengthen your memory through movement and instruction. Research shows that physical activity increases blood flow to the brain and activates the hippocampus – the brain's learning and memory center. This means we learn and remember better when we are active.
Brainwalk is a guided tour led by Lars Christiansen, double world record holder in memory and one of Denmark's leading experts in memory techniques. During the tour, he presents the strategies that have enabled him to memorize thousands of digits, card sequences, and large volumes of information.
Participants gain concrete knowledge about how memory works, why we forget, and which methods anyone can use to remember names, numbers, facts, and experiences far better than most people think possible. Throughout the walk, the group performs practical exercises that demonstrate how locations, mental images, and narratives effectively anchor knowledge in the mind.
The event is part of Folk University's knowledge festival Hearts & Minds.
