Two of the Nordic region's most sought-after musicians present an exclusive program featuring significant works from the history of classical music. Cellist Andreas Brantelid and pianist Christian Ihle Hadland explore Beethoven's late chamber music through two sonatas for cello and piano, representing the composer's artistic culmination within the genre – works filled with depth and originality.
In the second half of the concert, Schubert's celebrated Arpeggione Sonata is performed, a technically demanding piece that in these artists' hands unfolds as a stream of lyrical beauty. The arrangement showcases Schubert's melodic genius without sacrificing the musical complexity of the instruments.
