Hjemmeværnets Musikkorps Aarhus is recruiting musicians for both percussion and brass instruments – cornet, althorn, baritone, euphonium, trombone and tuba. The orchestra has around 35 members ranging in age from 22-80 years, united by their passion for music and ensemble playing.
The orchestra rehearses every Monday from 7.30 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. in Højbjerg under the direction of conductor Eyal Pesach Weinberger. The repertoire spans traditional military music, brass band compositions, popular music and classics – both Danish and foreign works. The year includes around 12-14 concerts, ranging from entertainment performances to more formal events.
As a member, you can borrow an instrument, and there is no membership fee – your work consists solely of music-making. You can sign up for a free trial rehearsal to get a feel for the community.
