Embark on an artistic adventure through the Latin Quarter with needle and thread in hand. Under the guidance of visual artist Dorte Wahlberg, you explore the neighborhood with fresh eyes—observing colors, shapes, signage, statues, paintings, cobblestones, and hidden details you usually walk past. Every observation becomes inspiration for your own embroidery work.
Throughout the walk, you collect impressions, which you'll stitch into a small textile notebook made from recycled textiles. A cobblestone becomes a pattern, a forgotten sign becomes a color combination, or a facade becomes irregular stitches. There are no right or wrong techniques—you'll receive ideas and tips from the guide, but you decide everything yourself. Freestyle, experiment, and make it your own artwork. No prior embroidery experience needed; the main thing is curiosity and a desire to create with your hands.
