Burning Hearts presents a chamber music programme featuring works by Alma Mahler, Maurice Ravel and Sergej Rachmaninov. Performers include Emilie Haaning, Jonathan Swensen, Monica Tort and Clemente Prudencio, and the concert moves through a range of musical expressions and moods. Alma Mahler was an Austrian composer especially known for her songs, while Maurice Ravel and Sergej Rachmaninov are among the notable names in classical music from the early 20th century.
The programme includes 5 lieder (1910) by Alma Mahler with Clemente Prudencio and Emilie Haaning, Chansons madécasses (1926) by Maurice Ravel with Clemente Prudencio, Monica Tort, Aleksandra Lyczba and Emilie Haaning, and Trio Élégiaque nr. 1 (1892) by Sergej Rachmaninov with Clemente Prudencio, Jonathan Swensen and Jonas Willaume.
