Those bereaved by suicide are invited to a café evening with funeral director Else Mikkelsen, founder of Min Afsked in Aalborg. After her son took his own life 11 years ago, Else transitioned from nursing to opening funeral businesses with a particular focus on creating space for grief among the bereaved.
The evening consists of a welcome by Preben Bøgelund, Else's personal and professional experiences, and dialogue about her presentation. Afterwards, there is an opportunity for two hours of open interaction and conversation with other people who have lost someone to suicide. Everything shared is treated confidentially among participants.
Coffee, tea and pastries are served. There is room for everyone seeking understanding and community around loss and grief.
