Clapper

CLAPPER is a Danish jazz quartet that blends classic soul and fusion jazz with modern instrumental hip-hop. The band consists of Frederik Emil Bülow on drums, Adrian Christensen on bass, Jeppe Lavsen on guitar, and Malthe Jepsen on keyboards and Rhodes. The music is characterized by rhythmic precision, melodic freedom, radical tempo shifts, and deep grooves, united with world-class improvisational abilities.

Following their debut album On Tempo from 2023, which has been streamed over 400,000 times, CLAPPER has established itself as a vital voice on the Scandinavian jazz scene. Their second album Under the Radar was released in May 2025 and was recorded live in 2024, characterized by raw, heavy, and groove-oriented music. Their third release With Friends launches on 6 November 2027 featuring guest artists including Walter Smith III, Sanyu, and Ronja Rose Andersson.

CLAPPER's live performances often begin with relaxed groove-based themes that gradually develop into intense fusion sets that captivate both audience and musicians. The band has gained recognition for their musical joy, dynamics, and on-stage energy.
