Journalist and America expert Clement Kjersgaard examines the American midterm election on November 3rd and its significance – not only for the USA, but for the world. What determines the outcome, and what does it reveal about a country in division?
Kjersgaard has covered American politics extensively over 20 years through programs such as 'Clement in America' and 'The World After the Election' (recorded shortly before the 2024 presidential election, when Trump won back the White House). He explores perspectives on America's future at a time marked by polarization and mistrust.
Program:
- Lecture: 7:30 pm–9:00 pm
- Optional: Dinner from 6:00 pm (menu: confit chicken from Hopballe Mill with Jerusalem artichokes, beets, kale and brown butter sauce, potato compote)
- After the lecture: coffee, tea, wine and beer plus small baked goods in the Entrée Café
Registration required by 12:00 noon the day before. Dinner can only be purchased together with the ticket.
