Cornelia Nilsson Trio presents a jazz concert with Swedish drummer Cornelia Nilsson (b. 1992), who has quickly made a strong impression on the Scandinavian jazz scene. She is known for an intense, driving style, and on this evening she appears in a newer collaboration with pianist Søren Kjærgaard and bassist Nils Bo Davidsen.
The trio explores the contrast between volcanic energy and the beauty of sparseness in improvisations that grow out of shared compositions and sketches. In February 2024, Cornelia Nilsson released her acclaimed debut album 'Where Do You Go?' featuring Aaron Parks, Daniel Franck and Gabor Bolla. Line-up: Søren Kjærgaard - piano, Nils Bo Davidsen - double bass, Cornelia Nilsson - drums. Admission: 60-175 kr. Venue: Porter's, Sydhavnen.
