Creatures of butter is a dance workshop where Danish Dance Theatre invites participants to explore movement, creativity and artistic expression. The workshop is inspired by sculptor Anne Marie Carl Nielsen's artistic practice and takes place as part of the exhibition programme The Living Clay at Godsbanen.
You will work with experienced dance educators from Danish Dance Theatre, who will guide you through movement games, physical exercises and creative tasks. The focus is on exploring the interplay between the creative force within our own bodies and the encounter with Carl Nielsen's artistic vision. No previous dance experience is required – all levels are welcome.

The workshop has been developed in connection with the dance performance Creatures of butter, which is co-produced by Danish Dance Theatre and Bora Bora. The performance had its premiere at Bora Bora on February 26th and subsequently tours to Odense, Aalborg and Copenhagen. Danish Dance Theatre is Denmark's national company for contemporary dance with a permanent base at the Opera House in Copenhagen.
