The Dead Lived Happily Ever After is a performance about three friends who decide to die together. Through physical theatre, dance, and live music, it explores grief, death, and the fear of being left behind alone, balancing humour and seriousness in its approach to a subject many prefer not to talk about.
The performance grew out of a personal loss in the ensemble Danseteatret NordenFra, after their colleague Gitte Kielberg passed away in 2021. From this came a stage work about powerlessness, loss, and the existential questions that follow when someone is gone. The performance is dedicated to those who have inspired the work over the years and are no longer here.
Performed at Teater Katapult. Admission: Standard 230 // Seniors (65+) 175 // Kult Katapult + Students 120 // Young people under 25 95. Ticket purchase/booking is required.
