Dementia-Friendly Concert is specially arranged for people with dementia and their relatives at Musikhuset Aarhus. The repertoire consists of familiar songs that invite communal singing, and the concert format alternates between singing along and simply listening. The audience is seated in the venue's open café setting, and folk high school songbooks are provided.
The café is open if you wish to purchase food or drinks. Seating is limited, and admission requires a ticket. The programme is: 10 oktober: Julie Ørhnholt Bødker leads the communal singing. Julie is a music therapist and has many years of experience using music as a tool to create connection, security, and quality of life for older people. 5. november: To be announced later. 12. december: Signe Olsen leads the communal singing. Signe graduated from the conservatory of music and has for a number of years worked at the intersection of music, care, and human well-being. She has been affiliated for more than ten years with the MusikBeRiget project at Aalborg Universitetshospital. Entré: 50 kr.
