Rheumatic diseases are systemic conditions that affect each individual differently. Professor Oliver Hendricks from Syddansk Universitetshospital explores how to understand disease progression and treatment options.
The lecture focuses on recognizing the patient's own expertise and the various aspects of treatment – both medical, multidisciplinary care and the patient's own opportunities to make the most of available support. Hendricks is a professor of rheumatology and connective tissue diseases and bases his approach on viewing the person as a whole, both physically and mentally.
