DIY Drop-in

Want to unleash your creativity, find inspiration, or meet creative people? Come to the free DIY drop-in at Dokk1. Whether you bring your own projects or start something entirely new, you'll find everything you need available — completely free of charge.

Genlyd, in collaboration with Dokk1, provides a wide range of materials for your crafts: fabric scraps, hot glue guns, paper, books, crepe paper, markers, watercolors, embroidery, linocut, beads and bead plates, jewelry design, and much more. If you have other ideas, you're welcome to ask.

Meetings are held on Wednesdays in even weeks from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the tables in the non-fiction section on the 1st floor. Here you can work alongside other creative people, receive moral support when things get tough, get praise when you succeed, and share ideas as you create fun and quirky things together. Dokk1's café offers coffee, tea, cake, and other refreshments, and the atmosphere is cozy with plenty of space to chat.
