This double concert brings together Flegmatic Moods and Viktoria Søndergaard Trio for an evening of contemporary Danish jazz. Flegmatic Moods consists of Tineke Noordhoek (vibraphone), Christina von Bülow (saxophone and flute), and Jeppe Holst (guitar), performing intense concerts with a calm, dreamy expression. Their repertoire is based on Tineke Noordhoek’s releases Flegmatisk and Flegmatisk-Melankolsk from 2020 and is supplemented with compositions by Jobim, Ellington, and Gismonti. Christina von Bülow is a prominent figure on the Danish jazz scene, known for her work as a saxophonist and flautist.
Viktoria Søndergaard Trio presents an open and expressive universe where vibraphone, vocals, and piano meet in vivid interplay. Viktoria Søndergaard performs with Elvira Skovsang and Frederik Blæsild Vuust, and the trio moves between raw energy, melodic sensitivity, and more reflective passages. Viktoria Søndergaard is known as an original voice on the Danish jazz and improvised music scene with an unconventional approach to the vibraphone.
