Dread Witch: 'Cult'

Dread Witch invites you to a dark and atmospheric preview of their second album, Cult, on 9 October at 19.30 at Øst for Paradis. The Aarhus-based five-piece plays doom metal with heavy, downtuned soundscapes, ambient textures and melodic passages, and the album is રચed as a coherent sonic narrative with clear inspiration from film and soundtracks.

The album was recorded at Antfarm Studios in East Jutland with producer Tue Madsen, who has also worked with Meshuggah (SE), Baest (DK) and The Haunted (SE). The listening session takes place in a completely darkened hall using Øst for Paradis' sound system, and afterwards Dread Witch and Tue Madsen will talk about the making of the album, the concept and sources of inspiration, and answer questions from the audience. Admission: 100 kr. The price includes a beer or soft drink.
