An intensive 3-day course for beginners interested in learning ceramics from scratch. You will receive fundamental instruction in wheel throwing and trimming over the first two days, focusing on centering, pulling, and trimming techniques on the potter's wheel.
The third day is dedicated to glazing, where you will work with the studio's own collection of hand-blended stoneware glazes in many different varieties. You will gain insight into the materials and can view glaze samples on each clay type. A spray booth is also available if you wish to spray-glaze your pieces.
The course takes place at Godsbanen, where you will have access to their well-equipped ceramic workshop and its facilities for both current and future work. Arranged in collaboration between Godsbanen's Open Workshops and the School of Art and Design.
