What happens to dramaturgy when an entire episode must be told on a mobile device in just two minutes? This event explores the new genre of vertical fiction through TV 2 East Jutland's original series GLAZE, one of Denmark's first fiction series created specifically for mobile screens.
Director Milan Ganesan and screenwriter Charlotte Mwakitalu, who created the series, share their experiences from developing and filming the series' 14 short episodes. They discuss how acting, direction and production adapt to the vertical format.
Stine Thorsgaard Kjær, Head of Innovation and Development at TV 2 East Jutland, provides insight into why the channel is investing in this new genre and how short, vertical fiction creates high engagement especially among young audiences.
