The trio Gunde On Garner honours the legendary American jazz pianist Erroll Garner through their own musical interpretation. With Henrik Gunde at the centre, the three experienced musicians deliver a fresh and personal approach to jazz's classic tradition.
Rather than recreating Garner's original repertoire, the band creates their own arrangements of Danish and international songs from pop, rock and jazz. Driven by Nicolas Kock and Karsten Bagge's swinging accompaniment, the trio unfolds its creative interplay with musical joy and energy. Garner's distinctive swing and style permeate the entire experience, while the audience is simultaneously surprised by the song selection and the fresh, personal expression.
2025 marks both the band's 30th anniversary and 70 years since Erroll Garner's legendary "Concert By The Sea" from 1955. The concerts are celebrated under the theme "concerts by the water" – fitting for Denmark, where water is never far away.
