Aarhus Symphony Orchestra welcomes Swedish trumpeter Håkan Hardenberger, who appears as both conductor and soloist in a concert centered on the possibilities of the trumpet. The programme ranges from Johann Nepomuk Hummel's classical Trumpet Concerto to newer works by Brett Dean, HK Gruber and Tobias Broström, as well as Beethoven.
Håkan Hardenberger is internationally recognized for expanding the trumpet repertoire over a 40-year career and for inspiring composers to write new music for the instrument. The concert takes place at Musikhuset Aarhus, and admission is 100-395 kr.
