Digital distractions are everywhere. It's 21:15, notifications flood your screen, and bedtime is postponed again. The next morning, the pattern with social media repeats – despite your promise to do things differently tonight. Why is it so hard to put the phone down?

The brain originally evolved to keep us alive and ensure survival. Today it is bombarded with digital stimuli that trigger the same reward mechanisms that enabled our ancestors to survive. A notification, a like, or a purchase provides instant gratification – and the brain wants more. With each interaction, saying no becomes harder.

Benjamin Svejgaard, physician, brain researcher, and neurotech expert, reveals how the brain responds to digital overstimulation and, most importantly, what you can do to develop better digital habits. This lecture explores the relationship between brain and technology and provides practical tools to regain control.

The event is part of Folk University's knowledge festival Hearts & Minds and is free for all interested participants.
