The Clay Chief – The Living Clay gets new life as an augmented reality artwork. On October 17th from 2 pm to 5 pm, the exhibition The Living Clay – Create with Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen closes at Godsbanen, and everyone is welcome to the finissage and presentation of the AR artwork Origin by artist Sophie Hjerl.
Instead of being fired after the exhibition closes, the large collaborative artwork continues as a digital monument. During the exhibition period, the clay work is scanned in 3D, and this scan is artistically processed into a digital sculpture that can be experienced via smartphone. The new digital artwork will subsequently appear at selected outdoor locations – both at Godsbanen and at Christiansborg Palace Square in Copenhagen – where it is displayed in relation to its surroundings.
