Want to try rowing with others? Aarhus Roclub organises a four-session trial course in November for 18–30-year-olds, where you'll meet fellow beginners and get a gentle introduction to the sport. One registration covers all four sessions.
The programme includes:
- Intro part 1: Introduction to the rowing machine, rowing technique and eRowing on the big screen
- Intro part 2: Building on what you've learned and socialising
- Young people train young people: The club's experienced young rowers lead the training, and you'll eat together afterwards. You'll be assigned a buddy in the club
- On your way into the community: You'll train with one of the club's regular squads with reserved spots for you
What you get:
A complete full-body workout (legs, core, back and arms), personal guidance from day one, and a whole crew of like-minded beginners plus a buddy who knows the club.
Practical information:
Come in sports clothes and bring a water bottle. The clubhouse has showers and changing facilities. After the trial course, you can continue on the club's ergometer squad throughout the winter, participate in trial sessions on the water in March/April or start rowing school in May. If you become a member after the course, you'll get 14 days of free training from the end of the course.
