Jasper Høiby's 3Elements is a jazz trio centered around Jasper Høiby as bassist, composer, and bandleader. Høiby gained international recognition through Phronesis, the influential piano trio he founded in 2005, which helped redefine the modern piano trio in Europe. In this lineup, Naíma Acuña plays drums and Xavi Torres plays piano, and the trio presents a melodic, bold, and bass-driven sound marked by close interplay and strong dynamics.
The repertoire includes music from the album "Conversation of Hope", released in March 2026 on Edition Records. The music is shaped by clear melodic ideas, shifting time signatures, and a strong collective energy. Xavi Torres and Naíma Acuña, both from Spain, are considered among the most in-demand musicians of their generation and contribute harmonic precision and driving drumming respectively. 3Elements has also previously released Three Elements: Earthness from 2023 and Three Elements: Like Water from 2024.
