Jembaa Groove

African Footprint presents Jembaa Groove at turkis. The Berlin-based band blends afrobeat, highlife and jazz in a concert filled with warm grooves, virtuosic interplay and musical connections across continents. Jembaa Groove launches their 2026 tour with a renewed lineup and brand-new songs to be released in spring 2026, while deepening the band's connection to Lagos' vibrant Afro-Fusion scene.

In collaboration with The Cavemen, the group has created a modern interpretation of Highlife, jazz and afrobeats, further enriched by guest appearances from Fatoumata Diawara, Tim Lyre and Azekel. After a successful 2025 with the band's first headlining USA tour, sold-out concerts across Europe, festival appearances at Lowlands, MTN Bushfire and XJAZZ, and an acclaimed live session at KEXP, Jembaa Groove enters 2026 with growing international recognition.
