This workshop is perfect for you if you want to explore ceramics and get a solid introduction to basic techniques and how the studio works. You'll receive 1 kg of clay, which you can shape according to your own wishes and ideas.
The workshop focuses on getting to know the material – feeling and experiencing what clay can do and gaining insight into the processes that ceramics involves. You'll receive help getting started with various basic techniques, but there's also plenty of opportunity to experiment freely. No prior experience is required, just a desire to work creatively with your hands.
Note that the studio does not have wheel-throwing capabilities. Additionally, we won't be able to fire and glaze your work during the workshop itself – ceramics requires time. However, this gives you an excellent reason to return when your pieces are dry and fired, and you can then continue the process by adding glaze.
