Concert: Forró de Bicicleta

Forró de Bicicleta performs a concert of forró, choro and samba, where Brazilian rhythms meet Nordic sounds and jazzy harmonies. The quartet creates an acoustic, polyrhythmic expression with vocals, percussion, violin, accordion and cavaquinho, and the programme includes both original compositions and traditional classics from tropical Northeast Brazil.

The performers are Mariana Maia on zabumba, pandeiro and vocals, Miriam Ariana on violin and vocals, Niels Ørts Ottosen on accordion, and Martin Heap on cavaquinho. The event takes place at Testrup Højskole and begins at 19.30. Admission (including coffee and cake): 100 kr. / 50 kr. for members of Testrup Højskoles Elevforening and Skolekreds.
