Purpur is a music collective from Aarhus comprising seven musicians who together create a truly distinctive sonic world. Through their creative combination of different musical styles, they invite the audience on a journey through Danish music culture.
The concert is characterized by Danish-language songs rooted in Nordic singing traditions, combined with energetic rhythms from various music cultures – from afrobeats and folk music to jazz influences. It all is carried by a powerful seven-piece ensemble that explores both the integrated and the improvised.
