Composer, vocalist and songwriter Mira Siegel returns to her hometown of Malling to present an intimate concert on Saturday, October 3rd at Malling Bio. With piano and her voice as her sole accompaniment, she performs both tracks from her debut album Empty Streets and brand new songs, which she has created inspired by a nearly deserted island in Northern Norway.
Mira's musical expression moves across the boundary between Nordic folk, singer-songwriter traditions and classical music. Her works are characterized by their intimacy and dreamlike quality, and the concert offers listeners the opportunity to experience the songs in their purest, unadorned form – without distraction, so that the meaning of the lyrics, the voice and the personal stories behind each melody become the main focus.
Mira Siegel received the Carl Nielsen and Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen Talent Prize in 2024 and has previously performed at prominent festivals such as SPOT Festival, Hun Solo Extravaganza at DR Concert Hall Copenhagen and Aarhus Jazz Festival. Her critically acclaimed debut album Empty Streets was released in October 2025.
