What does a water droplet look like? Can you make droplets from materials other than water?
This workshop focuses on water and creative experimentation. Here, children and adults explore materials together, try various techniques, and create water droplets from materials such as cardboard, natural materials, paint, and textiles. The artworks will subsequently be exhibited at DOKK1 in week 44 alongside contributions from across Denmark.
About the workshop
The workshop opens twice weekly and is primarily about curiosity, imagination, and the joy of creating. Here you cut, paint, shape, glue, print, and draw together. The focus is on experimentation rather than perfection – the goal is to dare to try and discover new forms of expression.
Approximately 90 percent of materials come from recycled sources, collected through the library, donated by staff, or by the workshop's regular users. Creativity and sustainability go hand in hand.
Who is it for?
The event is aimed at children and their adults, regardless of previous experience. Children under 10 years must be accompanied by an adult. The workshop guides and inspires, while the children set the direction – together creating a safe and fun community where creativity is allowed to flourish.
