At Tranbjerg Bibliotek, you can experience an exhibition of wood art by Mia Løcke Jensen in the period from d. 12/8 2026 - 2/10 2026. She is 25 years old and began her artistic journey at around 18-19 years old after watching YouTube videos of artists creating objects in wood. What started as curiosity developed into a self-taught practice, and today she works with, among other things, exotic types of wood such as eucalyptus burls, which give her works distinctive patterns and expressions.
The exhibition also tells the story of her path into the craft: from experience making knives to buying a used lathe and some sanding equipment, which became the starting point for her work in wood. She has kept her very first piece, a small bowl, as a reminder of where she began. Free tickets. Venue: Tranbjerg Bibliotek.
