Meet author Leif Davidsen for a lecture on his current novel and his profound knowledge of Russia. For 40 years as a writer and journalist, Davidsen has closely followed Russia's development â as a Moscow correspondent and through numerous reporting trips.
In his new work Requiem for Russia, he explores both as a thriller and contemporary portrait Russia's transformation from hope for freedom to dictatorship and war. The protagonist, Danish-Russian special forces officer Tor Alexandr Arnborg, is forced back into service and must make a life-changing choice between Denmark and Russia â between love for his original homeland and growing resistance to the regime.
The lecture presents a broad picture of Russia and the war in Ukraine through both literature's lens and Davidsen's direct experience over three decades. Following the presentation, there will be ample opportunity for debate with the author about both his works and the current geopolitical situation.
An engaging event for anyone interested in current world affairs, Russian studies and high-quality literary thrillers.
