Lis Wessberg feat. Veronika Rud

Lis Wessberg and Veronika Rud come together in a concert where jazz, Nordic lyricism and improvisation merge into an expression that shifts between the intimate and the powerful. The audience can experience melodic trombone lines, expressive vocal storytelling and music that moves from the deeply lyrical to the intensely compelling.

Lis Wessberg is known as a distinctive figure on the Danish jazz scene, including through the band Yellow Map and the album releases Yellow Map (2021) and Twain Walking (2024). Veronika Rud is an Aarhus-based singer and composer whose debut EP from 2024 has received attention and airplay on P8 Jazz. Together they point toward the album In The Wake of Blue, which will be released in spring 2026.

Also appearing on stage are Steen Rasmussen on piano, Jesper Thorn on bass and Jeppe Gram on drums.

The concert takes place at Musikhuset Aarhus. Admission: 240 kr. Booking is required.
