London Community Gospel Choir, one of Europe's most celebrated gospel choirs, brings festive spirit and energy to Musikhuset with their Christmas concert. For over 40 years, the choir has delighted audiences worldwide with their intense, moving and life-affirming performances. Their annual Christmas concert at Royal Albert Hall typically attracts over 5,000 people – now you can experience them here, just days before they return to London.
The programme features classic Christmas carols and traditional Christmas songs, which come alive through the choir's powerful gospel arrangements. The choir performs with their own 5-piece band and several soloists, plus Danish gospel singer Rune Herholdt as a guest soloist. Herholdt is known for his warm and powerful voice and has been an important figure in Danish gospel music for many years. He appeared in the film Oh Happy Day and has worked with Aarhus Gospel Singers. Together, London Community Gospel Choir and Rune Herholdt create a concert experience that celebrates music, fellowship and the joy of Christmas.
