"Danish American Music Club" is a captivating musical project that emphasizes collaboration across generations, united by a shared passion for jazz, soul, and blues spanning eight decades of music history.
The acoustic trio features vocalist Cecilie Rowedder, guitarist and singer Janus Bechmann, and experienced guitarist and vocalist Kim Sagild. Together they perform classics from American musical legends — from Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, and Ray Charles through Muddy Waters, Aretha Franklin, and Marvin Gaye to contemporary artists such as Tracy Chapman, Randy Crawford, and Blackstreet. The audience has the opportunity to recognize and sing along with these beloved songs.
The group released its debut album under the same name in 2019 and now presents its repertoire on stage.
