Mama's Broke is a Canadian folk duo featuring Amy Lou Keeler and Lisa Maria, who have created a distinctive style without geographical boundaries since their formation. Their music draws inspiration from folk traditions in Eastern Canada, Appalachia, Ireland, and beyond – the result of years of intensive touring and engagement with live music culture at intimate venues.
The duo received the "Ensemble of the Year" award at the Canadian Folk Music Awards for their debut album Count the Wicked in 2017. Now they bring their upcoming album Reunion – featuring 12 new songs – on tour. The album is released August 28 via Free Dirt Records and Forward Music Group and was created following years of relentless travel and musical exploration across cultural boundaries.
