Learn to befriend your thoughts through metacognitive therapy, a modern treatment approach to mental health challenges such as anxiety and depression. Unlike other therapy forms, the focus is not on the content of thoughts, but on how we manage them. Central elements are the so-called "cognitive attentional syndrome" — patterns such as worry, rumination, excessive focus and avoidance, which many people can recognize and which affect mental well-being.
Authorized psychologist and ph.d. Ina Skyt introduces the method thoroughly and shares practical tools and exercises to recognize unhelpful thought patterns and reduce worries and rumination. Journalist Louise Sloth moderates the conversation. The event is part of Folk University's knowledge festival Hearts & Minds.
