Two electronic artists, each with flourishing careers, meet at PHONO in Aarhus. Miaw, the Danish-Dutch duo featuring Frederik Bruun and Liza Dries, celebrates deconstructed club music inspired by British bass culture. Fast breakbeats, arpeggiated synthesizers, and unconventional sampling techniques create sound at the intersection of remixes and pop music. The duo has already garnered international recognition for the single "moving in" and debut EP "My Petswan," and this May they bring their forthcoming release to its live debut at PHONO.
Inga Bari, an experimental Danish production trio, blends Scandinavian rave cynicism with cool techno sound and naive, pearlescent groove. The group draws inspiration from Scandinavian techno, club music, dancehall, and Caribbean soundsystem culture. Their music is raw, unfiltered, and challenging – from uncomplicated club bangers to gritty rave meditations.
