Miaw

Miaw is a cross-pop duo consisting of Frederik Bruun and Liza Dries from Denmark and the Netherlands. Their sound draws on UK bass, deconstructed club, shoegaze, and '90s trip-hop, combining fast breakbeats, arpeggiated synthesizers, and unconventional sampling techniques into a style that sits between a remix and a pop song.

The duo released the debut EP My Petswan and the single moving in, which has received attention from P6 Beat (DK), Nina Protocol (Staff Picks) (US), and The Needle Drop (US), among others. In May, miaw will release their next longer record, which they will present live at PHONO for the first time in Aarhus. They have previously played festivals such as ESNS, MIL Lisbon, O Salgado Faz Anos, by:larm, Spot, and Vegas Udvalgte, and have toured across Europe and shared the stage with Acopia, Lyra Valenza, 100%WET, and Jack J.
