Virginia Woolf has a widespread reputation for being a difficult writer – but is she really? Literature educator Camilla Engkjær Laursen took it upon herself in 2026 to work through Woolf's complete body of work, which became both a feminist revelation and a rewarding challenge filled with literary highlights. She has been sharing her experiences on her Instagram profile, @camillalaeser.
In her presentation during Bag om Kulturen, Engkjær Laursen demystifies the aura surrounding Woolf and shows how her works continue to inspire contemporary authors. There will be an opportunity to ask the speaker questions, and books are available for purchase during the event.
Practical information: The event takes place in Vogn 1 at Godsbanen in Aarhus C and is a collaboration between FOF Aarhus and Aarhus Litteraturcenter. Registration is required, and participation is free.
